Newcastle University

MacDonald Martin Limited has provided Newcastle University with specialist advice on two occasions. The first looked at the means of escape, in a number of their buildings; this was followed up with a detailed action plan for the University to act upon. This was a 3 month project which involved detailed analysis of modern and older buildings, some dating back more than 100 years.

The second was a follow-up from the first report, which included a survey of the fire safety signage and the provision of emergency lighting. Work was also provided by MacDonald Martin Limited to put in place the necessary requirements to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) Order.

Ryhope St. Patrick's R.C School

We used the services of MacDonald Martin Ltd. during the summer holiday period of 2009 to install a new fire alarm system.

The project involved removal of the redundant system, removal of asbestos and installation of the new fire detection and alarm system with emergency lighting.

MacDonald Martin Ltd. provided an excellent service. The project was completed "on cost" and "on time". Throughout the work communication was excellent ensuring knowledge of progress against the project timetable and explaination of solutions to any issues that arose.
