Abrasive Wheels Training is a 1/2 day training course conducted on your site for a maximum of 12 trainees.
This training course has been designed and structured to comply with the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) and the Health and Safety Executives publication "Safety in the Use of Abrasive Wheels "(HSG17)

- The Need to Train and Statutory Requirements
- Characteristics of an Abrasive Wheel and the Types of Abrasive Wheels
- Marking of Abrasive Wheels and the British Standard Marking System
- Speed
- Hazards and Precautions to be Taken
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Storage and Handling of Abrasive Wheels
- Inspection and Methods of Testing for Damage
- Abrasive Wheel Machine Components
- Guarding
- Specific Mounting Procedures
Each trainee will recieve a certificate of attendance after completion of the course.
